Oliver was put to sleep to avoid suffering on 8th June 2007 aged 14 years and 1 month. Our very gentle oh so loving boy there's a vacant space in front of the fire, in the greenhouse and a big gap in our lives.


Otherwise known as the Red Houdini and escape artist par excellence he was our introduction to the world of showing. His favourite game was to run round our neighbourhood preferably being chased by hordes of children until he tired of the game and escaped through next door’s cat flap to fall asleep on one of their beds. We are often asked why we carefully lock our sitting room after leaving it; the answer is Oliver can open the door! We replaced all our other handles with knobs but he’s working on opening them as well. Now in his late middle age he is slowing down and spends his days pottering round the garden with Sasha and sleeping in the greenhouse!
