The first litter meant that two brown boys remained in the family and loved becoming part of mine and my younger sisters’ lives, even putting up with being pushed around the garden in a dolls pram! As anyone familiar with Burmese will know this is nothing unusual. Shelly, as she became known, was to leave us prematurely due to illness and as the number of my siblings seemed to grow at an alarming rate the breeding of Burmese cats had to go on hold. The addition of a lilac girl caused many a fight between the siblings as to who actually owned her as she was such a beautiful colour.
